18-year-old Suman is the youngest among Mahendra Thakur’s three kids. She studies in a school and having two best friends one of which belongs to the Dalit Community. Suman’s father does not like her friendship with that girl because she comes from a lower community. Suman is good at studies and scores good marks in her exams. Being best friends, they share everything among them. They love to read love stories also.

In her next exams, Suman scores only 51% and her parent are disappointed with this. When her friend Niharika asks her about studies, she tells that she is in love with a guy named Manav and he comes from the Dalit community. Her friends warn her to get rid of this relationship because her father and brothers will never accept it and this is dangerous for both of them.

One day Suman and Manav are seen by Mahendra Thakur’s man in Meerut. That man tells this to Thakur. Thakur beats Suman while his both son Sushil and Anurag beat Manav badly. Suman and Manav stop meeting and talking to each other. Three months go, Thakur allows Suman to go with her friends, and then Suman again talks to Manav over the phone and plans to meet him at her home in the night.

सुमन, ठाकुर महेंद्र सिंह के बेटी है और महेंद्र के दो बेटे भी हैं सुशील और अनुराग. सुमन की दो दोस्त हैं जिनमे से एक निहारिका है जो की उसी की जाति की है और दूसरी सहेली नीच जाति की है. उसका सुमन के साथ उसके घर आना तक महेंद्र और उसके परिवार वालों को पसंद नहीं है और आने पर उसके साथ अछूतों जैसा व्यव्हार किया जाता है. सुमन पढने में बहुत अच्छी है उसके 70% नंबर आते हैं. तीनो सहेलियों में बहुत बनती है और तीनो अपनी हर बात एक दुसरे को बताती हैं. तीनो ही बालिग़ हैं और तीनो को प्यार मोहब्बत से सम्बंधित कहानियां पढना बहुत अच्छा लगता है.

अपनी अगली परीक्षा में सुमन के 50% नंबर आते हैं जिससे सभी को बहुत ताज्जुब होता है. निहारिका के पूछने पर सुमन बताती है की पिछले तीन महीनो से उसे मानव नाम के एक लड़के से प्यार हो गया है. मानव एक लुहार का लड़का है और वो उससे बहुत प्यार करती है और उसी से शादी भी करेगी. दोनों सहेलियां उसे समझती हैं की अगर उसके पिता और भाई को पता चल गया तो क़यामत आजायेगी.

ठाकुर का एक आदमी दोनों को मेरठ के एक होटल में देख लेता है और जाकर ठाकुर को बोल देता है. ठाकुर सुमन को पीटता है और उसके दोनों बेटे मानव को बहुत बुरी तरह से मारते हैं. दोनों एक दुसरे से मिलना और बात करना छोड़ देते हैं. तीन महीने बीत जाते हैं. ठाकुर सुमन को घर से बहार जाने की इजाज़त दे देता है. सुमन निहारिका के फ़ोन से मानव से बात करती है और उसे अपने घर रात में मिलने को बुलाती है जिससे की वो दोनों भाग सके.
