Bina (played by Pyumori Mehta) is mother of a daughter Pragati (played by Shriya Popat). She had taken divorce from her husband when Pragati was eight year old and started living separately. After some years she meets Iqbal and falls in love with him. Iqbal is a married man and father of two daughters. After coming closer to Bina, Iqbal decided to leave his first wife and plan to marry Bina. After marriage he starts living with Bina and Pragati.

Bina's daughter Pragati tells Bina that Iqbal often tries to touch her and harass her which she really does not like. According to Bina, Pragati is lying and she thinks that though Iqbal is her step-father, she does not want to adjust with him and making stories to get rid of him. Few other people also informs Bina about Iqbal's character but Bina ignores it. Bina's sister Rashmi also tells her about Iqbal but she ignores that incident also.

A day Pragati leaves a letter for her mom that now she can not tolerate it anymore and going to commit suicide. When Bina asks these incidents to Iqbal, he again traps Bina and tells her that all these allegations are false.

बीना, जो की एक बच्ची की माँ है शादी के आठ साल बाद अपने पति से तलाक लेती है और अपनी छोटी बच्ची के साथ अलग रहने लगती है. इसी बीच वो इक़बाल के संपर्क में आती है और उससे प्यार करने लगती है. इक़बाल, जो की शादीशुदा है और दो बच्चियों का पिता है, अपनी पहली बीवी से अलग होकर बीना से शादी करने का फैसला करता है. बिना से शादी करने के बाद वो बीना और उसकी बेटी प्रगति के साथ रहने लगता है. प्रगति बीना को बताती है की इक़बाल उस पर बुरी नज़र रखता है. उसे जगह जगह पर छूता है जो की उसे बहुत अजीब लगता है और बिलकुल भी पसंद नहीं है. बीना इस बातों को झूठ मानती है और उसे ये लगता है की इक़बाल प्रगति का सौतेला बाप है तभी प्रगति उसको पसंद नहीं करती और मनगढ़ंत कहानी बनाती है.

इक़बाल के बारे में और भी कई लोग बीना को अलग अलग बाते बताते हैं की इकबाल एक बुरी नियत वाला आदमी है. बीना की बहन रश्मी भी अपने और इक़बाल के बीच हुई बात को रश्मि को बताती है मगर बीना इक़बाल के विश्वास में अंधी हो चुकी है. एक दिन प्रगति एक पत्र लिख कर छोड़ देती है जिसमे ये लिखा होता है की वो ये सब सहन नहीं कर पायेगी और आत्महत्या कर लेगी. बीना जब इक़बाल से ये सब पूछती है तो इक़बाल फिर से बीना को अपनी बातों में फसा लेता है और इसके बाद बीना एक बार फिर प्रगति को डांटती है.
