A lady named Shikha Das finds a little girl lying on a road divider. She goes to that girl and after shaking her she finds that the girl was sleeping there between the road. She asks her name and kid tells her name Kaanchi. The kid is not able to tell Shikha more than this. Shikha brings that girl to nearest police station. Police observes a tattoo on Kaanchi's arm which is now a clue for police. They shows her photo of a lady and tries to understand whether Kaanchi knows this lady or not. After watching the photo Kaanchi calls "Aai" (Mother). She is still not able to tell anything above this.

That photo is belonging to a deceased lady whose body was found by another lady in a dump yard and nail-polish on that girl's nails is same as deceased nail-polish. Police also finds name of that lady on her arm "Devki Sambhaji More". Devki's postmortem report reveals that she was sexually assaulted before murder and there are many signs of injury there on her body.

एक जागरूक नागरिक शिखा दास को सुबह रोड डिवाइडर पर एक बच्ची लेती मिलती। है जब वो उस बच्ची को हिलाती हैं तो पता चलता है की वो बच्ची सोई हुई थी। वो बच्ची से उसका नाम पूछती हैं तो वो कांची बताती है। इससे ज़्यादा वो कुछ नहीं बता पाती है। वो उसको लेकर पुलिस स्टेशन जाती हैं। वहां पुलिस वाले देखते हैं की बच्ची की बांह पे एक टैटू है। पुलिस को कुछ शक होता है। पुलिस कांची को एक महिला की लाश दिखाती है और जानने की कोशिश करती है की क्या वो इस महिला को पहचानती है। फोटो देखते ही बच्ची के मुह से "आई" निकलता है। इससे ज़्यादा वो कुछ और नहीं बता पाती है।

दरअसल वो फोटो एक लाश की होती है जो पुलिस को उसी सुबह मिली है और उसके नाखूनों पर उसी रंग की नेलपॉलिश है जिस रंग की कांची के नाखूनों पर है। इसके अलावा मृतक महिला के हाथ पर उसका नाम देवकी संभाजी मोरे गुदा हुआ है। देवकी की पोस्टमॉर्टेम रिपोर्ट में ये खुलासा होता है की देवकी की हत्या से पहले उसका शारीरिक शोषण हुआ था और उसके शरीर पे काफी घाव के निशान भी पाये जाते हैं।
