Nupur Saha was thrilled to receive a job offer in London, which was facilitated by her friend Rajat. Rajat also helped her with the visa documentation. Nupur bid farewell to her parents at the railway station before leaving for London. However, after arriving in London, she stopped answering her parents' phone calls, causing them to worry.

They were only able to communicate with her through WhatsApp and Facebook chats. Nupur explained that she was busy with work and did not have time to talk. Her parents were uncomfortable when Nupur started praising Rajat, who was always pictured with her in her Facebook photos of London. Nupur also revealed that she and Rajat were staying together in the same flat. She never spoke to her parents on the phone, only through messaging.

After a month, Nupur informed her parents that Rajat was coming to India to visit them and stay at their home in Ranchi. Rajat arrived in Ranchi, but when Nupur's parents tried to ask him about their daughter, he avoided the topic. He stayed for a few days before returning to London. After Rajat's departure, Nupur stopped responding to her parents' messages, and Rajat did not answer their calls. When he finally answered, he was inebriated and verbally abused Nupur's brother over the phone. Nupur's parents decided to seek help from the police.

मध्य प्रदेश का उद्द्यन दास, पश्चिम बंगाल की आकांक्षा शर्मा, दोनों की 2007 में ऑरकुट पर दोस्ती, फ़ोन पर बात चीत, लिव-इन रिलेशन और आखिर में आकांक्षा शर्मा का मर्डर। ये है इस साल की अब तक की सबसे हाई प्रोफाइल मर्डर मिस्टरी। ये साल 2017 की सबसे सनसनीखेज़ वारदात है। खून की स्याही से लिखे इस कहानी की शुरुवात तो होती है इंटरनेट पर हुई एक दोस्ती से मगर अंत होता है एक दिल दहला देने वाला खुनी से।

2 फरवरी, 2017 को इस बारदात का खुलासा तब हुआ जब पश्चिम बंगाल की पुलिस मध्यप्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल, मिसिंग आकांशा शर्मा को ढूंढने पहुंची। सुबह दस बजे पश्चिम बंगाल पुलिस ने भोपाल पुलिस के साथ मिल कर साकेत नगर की इस इन्द्राणी हवेली में दबिश दी। ये बंगाल और मध्य प्रदेश पुलिस का एक जॉइंट ऑपरेशन था। दरवाज़े पे दस्तक देने पर उद्द्यन ने खुद दरवाज़ा खोला। इंस्पेक्टर सतेंदर सिंह कुशवाहा का कहना है की जब उसने दरवाज़ा खोला तो वो खुद उद्द्यन का हाथ पकड़ कर बाहर खींच कर लाये। उनके अनुसार उद्द्यन ने शायद शराब पी रखी थी। वो इतना कमज़ोर था की कोई विरोध कर ही नहीं पाया। उसके बालों में धूल भरी थी और वो एक गन्दी सी ऊनी शर्ट पहने था। कमरे के अंदर जाने पर पुलिस ने देखा की उसका पूरा कमरा बिखरा हुआ था। जगह-जगह सिगरेट के टुकड़े, शराब की बोतलें और खाने के गन्दी प्लेट्स। उनका कहना था की कमरे में बना वो सीमेंट और मार्बल का ब्लॉक एक अजीब सा एह्साह दे रहा था की कमरे में उसकी क्या ज़रुरत है? इस ब्लॉक के ठीक ऊपर एक रस्सी का टुकड़ा भी टंगा था जो ऐसा लग रहा था फांसी का फंदा बनाने के लिए लटकाया है। उन्होंने और उनकी टीम ने जैसा सोचा था उद्द्यन उससे ठीक उल्टा निकला। उनकी उम्मीद थी की इतना शातिर दिमाग आदमी शायद सामने आने पर कुछ रियेक्ट करेगा, मगर उस दबिश में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं हुआ।

उद्द्यन का कहना था की वो यहाँ पर आकांक्षा शर्मा के साथ उसकी मर्ज़ी से लिव-इन-रिलेशन में रह रहा था। इसका कहना था की उसकी आकांक्षा से 2007 में ऑरकुट के माध्यम से दोस्ती हुई थी और पिछले साल यानी की जून में लड़की से कुछ विवाद होने के बाद उसकी हत्या कर के शव को एक बक्से में डाला कर पूरे बक्से को एक सीमेंट के चबूतरे में दफना दिया और फिर इस चबूतरे पर मार्बल जड़ दिया। कुशवाहा का कहना है की जब उन्होने उससे पूछा की ये मार्बल का प्लेटफार्म कमरे में क्या कर रहा है! तो उसका कहना था की ये कुछ वर्कशॉप का काम करने के लिए बनाया गया है, हालाँकि बाद में ये गुत्थी सुलझ के सबके सामने आ गई...Click here for full inside story
