In 2011, Sulagna made her Bollywood debut with the thriller "Murder 2," where she played Reshma, a college student who becomes a part-time prostitute to support her family and falls victim to a serial killer. Her performance received positive reviews from critics. She continued to work in films like "Ishq Wala Love," a Marathi romantic film, and "Raid," starring Ajay Devgn, where she portrayed Tara Singh, the main informer to the income tax officer.
Throughout her career, Sulagna has worked with notable directors such as Kaushik Ganguly, Srijit Mukherjee, Ali Abbas Zafar, and Dibakar Banerjee, contributing significantly to both Bengali and Hindi film industries. She is also recognized for her work as a stylist and costume designer, bringing characters to life through her creative vision.
In her personal life, Sulagna married stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath on December 9, 2020. She continues to be active in the entertainment industry, taking on diverse roles across various mediums.
