Businessman Prakash Munjal is sleeping on the terrace of his home when two assailants climb onto the roof and shoot him. Moments later, his wife Sarita arrives on the terrace and is also shot dead.
Prakash was the eldest of three brothers, followed by Sanjay Munjal and Nilesh Munjal. He maintained strict control over the family and often dominated his brothers. Sanjay’s wife and son frequently reminded him that he was merely working for his elder brother without receiving proper recognition, but Sanjay ignored their concerns. Nilesh, the youngest brother, had died in an accident several years earlier.
During the investigation, Prakash’s daughter Kavya points suspicion toward the sons of Prakash’s cousin. She reveals that five years earlier, Prakash’s uncle Mahendra and his son Shankar were killed in a similar shooting incident. Many people believed Prakash was responsible, which could provide a motive for Shankar’s sons, Rajesh and Parag, to seek revenge.

As the investigation progresses, several additional leads emerge. Detectives discover that Prakash had been transferring ₹1.5 lakh every month to his friend Vikas Tiwari, but the payments stopped six months before the murders.
When questioned, Vikas claims that Prakash was involved in an illicit relationship with Damini, the wife of his youngest brother Nilesh. According to Vikas, he used this information to blackmail Prakash and extort money from him every month.

पालघर, महाराष्ट्र में रात के समय जब व्यवसायी प्रकाश मुंजाल अपने घर की छत पर सो रहा होता है, तब दो लोग उसकी छत पर चढ़कर उसे गोली मार देते हैं। इसी दौरान उसकी पत्नी सरिता भी छत पर पहुंचती है और हमलावर उसे भी गोली मार देते हैं।
प्रकाश मुंजाल तीन भाइयों में सबसे बड़ा था। उसके बाद संजय और निलेश मुंजाल थे। दबंग स्वभाव का प्रकाश अपने भाइयों पर हावी रहता था। संजय की पत्नी और बेटा उसे समझाते रहते थे कि वह केवल अपने भाई के लिए काम कर रहा है, लेकिन संजय इन बातों को अनदेखा करता रहा। निलेश की कुछ वर्ष पहले एक दुर्घटना में मृत्यु हो चुकी थी।
जांच के दौरान काव्या अपना पहला शक प्रकाश के चचेरे भाइयों के बेटों पर जताती है। वह बताती है कि पांच वर्ष पहले प्रकाश के चाचा महेंद्र और उनके बेटे शंकर की भी इसी तरह गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गई थी। कई लोगों को संदेह था कि इसके पीछे प्रकाश का हाथ था, इसलिए राजेश और पराग बदला लेना चाहते होंगे।
आगे की जांच में पुलिस को पता चलता है कि प्रकाश हर महीने अपने मित्र विकास तिवारी को डेढ़ लाख रुपये भेजता था, लेकिन पिछले छह महीनों से यह भुगतान बंद हो गया था। पूछताछ में विकास बताता है कि प्रकाश और उसके छोटे भाई निलेश की पत्नी दामिनी के बीच अवैध संबंध थे। इसी जानकारी के आधार पर वह प्रकाश को ब्लैकमेल कर हर महीने पैसे वसूलता था।
