Shashwita Sharma: Crime Patrol Actors and Actresses


Shashwita Sharma is a seasoned actor in theater, film, and television. With her birth on March 15th, she was raised in a family with a rich musical heritage. Under the tutelage of her mother and guru, Dr. Neelima Sharma, she received training in Hindustani classical vocal music.

 

It was the Kathak master, Pt. Birju Maharaj, who trained Shashwita in Kathak during her university years in Delhi. She is now studying and performing the Banaras Gharana style under Guru Vaibhav Joshi. Shashwita's film and television credits include films such as Hate Story 2, Sanam Re, Nirdosh, Shamitabh, and a documentary for the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO). Her breakthrough role was in the television soap opera Maryada - Lekin Kab Tak on Star Plus, for which she was nominated for the Star Parivar Awards. She received acclaim for her portrayal of the negative lead, Gaganpreet, in Bani-Ishq Da Kalma on Colors Channel. Her role as a dark-skinned woman who addresses racial discrimination in Zee TV's show Doli Armano Ki received global recognition.

She also appeared in the role of a Cyber Crime Expert in the TV series Courtroom - Sachchai Hazir Ho on Colors Channel. Shashwita has always been experimental with her roles, dabbling in genres ranging from family dramas to fantasy and comedy. However, her favorite remains the honest and hardworking cop she played in the well-known Sony TV series, Crime Patrol.

As far as the roles are concerned, she has always experimented with various shades. From genres like family dramas, fantasy, and comedy, her favorite remains the character of an honest, hardworking Cop, in Sony TV's well-known series Crime Patrol.

She is also the Co-Founder of  Jashn-E-Qalam, a storytelling collective. Her Solo Performances of short stories from Hindustani Literature have enthralled audiences in the country's major Art & literature festivals, theatres & communities. She recognizes Storytelling as the most powerful and effective way of bringing about change in the world.

Crime Patrol | Delhi police rescued 18 months old ishan (Episode 72 on 31 Dec 2011)

Gurmeet and Simran, who live in Maharani Bagh, have a 2-year-old son named Vihan, who is everyone's favorite. This family is a wealthy family and lacks nothing. The family has hired a nanny named Tulsi to take care of Vihan, who takes care of him all day long. Tulsi takes Vihan for a walk in a nearby park every day, but one day she doesn't return.

Simran goes to the same park to look for Tulsi and Vihan, but they are nowhere to be found. The whole family is worried, and they complain to the police about it. The family tells the police that Tulsi had been working in this house for the last 10 days. She had come to work in this house while looking for a job, and currently, there are no details available with this family.

The family also tells the police that before Tulsi, a maid named Shalini used to work in this house, and Shalini and Tulsi used to have frequent arguments, which led to Shalini quitting the job out of frustration.

Crime Patrol | Baby Falak Case: A vulnerable child protection mechanism of India (Episode 89, 90 on 2, 3 March 2012)


Rani (Played by Nidhi Jha), a 13-14 years girl brings a 3 years baby girl with her to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences). Baby condition is critical and doctors are shocked to see her burned and injured throughout her body.

Rani tries to escape after handling them to hospital staff but police and security guards capture her. Rani is saying that it is her own baby and after interrogating her she reveals that this baby girl was brought to her by a guy named Nadeem (real name Rajkumar played by Manish Raj).

Police is now looking for Nadeem. In the meantime doctors (Lead played by Shakti Singh) gives this baby girl name Baby Tara (Originally doctors gave her name Falak). Tara's condition is becoming critical day by day.

The Abduction: Ankita Sharma a waitress in a pub kidnaps by eve teasers (Episode 60 on 19 Nov 2011)

Ankita Sharma (played by Sonali Nikam) is a waitress who works in a pub in Delhi. A day while returning from her job she gets kidnapped by few boy who earlier had arguments with Ankit at her pub. That time pub was about to close but those guys were forcing Ankita to provide her food and beverages.

After her kidnap her husband and sister are scared. Delhi Police immediately takes action and launches their search operation and finally chases them. Ankit is now rescued but she is still very scared of the incident happened with her.
Incident is based on a true story reported on 25th July, 2011 at National Capital Delhi. Delhi police setup five teams in this search operation and the woman was recused in hours of her abduction with the arrest of two of the kidnappers.
