An agent Harish Goyal of Rashtriya Lok Jan bank (Syndicate Bank in real) explains villagers a very good scheme where farmer can get easy loan for there farming needs like Tube-well, Cattle, Tractor etc. He also tells them that for this loan they needs to pledge their land and after certain time period when they will pay whole amount, they will get back papers of their land. Innocent farmers follows all the processes and submits all required documents to the bank through Harish Goyal. Under the process they gets their new bank accounts opened and they also get passbook for this. Their all papers get recheck by bank manager Sudhir Mittal but later farmers comes to know that their loan application has been rejected by the bank because everyone of the applications was having some issue.

Nirmala (victim played by Malini Sengupta) is a widow who lives in village Soytha (real name Soyian village under Parsa Bazar), Bihar. One of the powerful man Bhajan Singh (real name Bhola Thakur) from the same village is trying to harrass her daily. Bhajan Singh is elder brother of Bhola Singh who already had a case on him after assaulting a 12 year old girl. Nirmala is afraid of him because Bhajan Sibgh is powerful man. He shares his pain with her neighbor and they also suggests her to be aware of that man. A night Nirmala starts crying and knocks her neighbor's door. She tells them that a thief has entered into her home. She also tells that she locked the home and thief is still there in the home.
